General situation of the School of Mechatronics Engineering

At present, there are 98 teaching staff in the School of Mechatronics Engineering, among them there are 2 nationwide prominent teachers1 excellent experts in Henan Province4 young backbone teachers of colleges and universities in Henan Province16 professors(including 1 provincial distinguished professor, 1 provincial lecture professor, 1 university distinguished professor), 23 associate professors and high-level experimenters, and 37 teachers with doctor's degree. Mechanical design, manufacturing and automation specialty is the construction point of national characteristic specialty and national pilot project of comprehensive professional reform. Industrial design specialty is the provincial characteristic specialty. Industrial engineering specialty is the characteristic specialty of the university. Mechatronics engineering specialty and Vehicle engineering specialty are the comprehensive reform pilots of the university. Mechanical engineering is the provincial key first level discipline. Design (industrial design method and theory) is a provincial key discipline. Instrument science and technology is the key first level discipline of the university, and it is also the supporting discipline of new materials and high-end equipment of textile and garment, which is the advantageous characteristic discipline group of Henan Province. Mechanical manufacturing and automation is the post setting discipline of distinguished professor of Henan Province.

Now the school has the Henan experimental teaching demonstration centermodern manufacturing equipment and instrument engineering laboratory of Henan ProvinceHenan intelligent special virtual instrument engineering technology research centerprecision manufacturing engineering technology research center of Henan university and modern manufacturing equipment and instrument open laboratory of key disciplines in Henan Province. The research team of "precision measurement technology and instrument" is Zhengzhou science and technology innovation team. In recent years, it has completed 2 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) , 2 national major science and technology special projects, about 30 provincial and ministerial projects. 25 national standards has been formulated and 30 national patents have been authorized. At present, 1 national science and technology major special project and 2 NSFC projects are undertaken.

Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation Specialty

Training objectives:Training applied senior engineers and technicians with the basic theory, basic skills and professional knowledge of mechanical designmanufacturing and automation field, and can be engaged in product design, manufacturing, technology development, scientific research, management, marketing and other work in the mechanical field.

Employment scope of graduates:The graduates can work in factories and mining enterprises, design and research institutions, colleges and universities related to the mechanical field, engaged in the fields of design, manufacturing, management, marketing, technology development, scientific research, teaching and so on.

Mechatronics Engineering Specialty

Training objectivesTraining applied senior engineers and technicians with broad basic theoretical knowledge of modern mechanical design, manufacturing, measurement and control technology and mechatronics technology, and can be engaged in modern mechanical design, manufacturing, mechanical and electrical products and systems research and development, equipment control and production organization and management.

Employment scope of graduates:The graduates can be engaged in mechanical and electrical equipment and automation field design, testing, manufacturing, sales, maintenance, production organization and management, application technology research and development and teaching.

Vehicle Engineering Specialty

Training objectives:Training applied senior engineers and technicians with the basic theory, basic skills and professional knowledge in the field of vehicle engineering, and can be engaged in design, test, manufacturing, operation and maintenance, technical management, marketing and research and development in automobile design and manufacturing, automobile service and other industries.

Employment scope of graduates:The graduates can be engaged in automotive engineering related design, manufacturing, testing, research, technology development, maintenance, production management, sales and teaching work.

Industrial Engineering Specialty

Training objectives:Training applied senior engineers and technicians with the basic theory, basic skills and professional knowledge in the field of industrial engineering, can be engaged in production and operation management, IE teaching, scientific research and other work, and with the comprehensive application ability of engineering technology and production operation management.

Employment scope of graduates:The graduates can be engaged in production system, service system, public and municipal system planning, design, operation and management, sales, teaching and other aspects of work.

Industrial Design Specialty(Students will take an additional freehand drawing test after they enter the school)

Training objectives:Training applied senior engineers and technicians with strong design, creative, aesthetic and production capabilities and can be engaged in industrial product modeling design, development, research.

Employment scope of graduates:The graduates can be engaged in industrial product modeling design, product innovation design, advertising design, teaching, research and other aspects in relevant enterprises (institutions), universities and scientific research units.
